Using a motivational approach with an emphasis on making the connection between mathematics and art, these publications can be used in a variety of programs. Based on the popular "Search n Shade" books. A grid contains the answers to the exercises. Each exercise is identified by a shading code. Students work the exercises and search for the answers on the grid. Each answer may appear more than once. Squares containing the answers are shaded according to the shading codes. When the exercise answers are correct, a pleasing symmetrical design emerges.
