Teachers ask us to create more "Design" publications, because they are so popular with their students! This Grade 3 title is our newest. For those unfamiliar with the "search n shade" concept, here is how it applies. Each activity page has 12 to 15 exercises with a shading code by each exercise and a large grid. Students work the exercises and find the answers on the grid. The square containing a particular answer is shaded according to the shading code for that exercise. When completed, a pleasing design emerges. Students are excited about this connection between math and art.
