This 60-minute video features a rare interview with the Dutch artist himself. It even shows scenes of the artist at work on one of his creations. The program traces his career path and personal life, from the early years in Italy, to his move to Switzerland. The influence of the Moorish mosaics at the Alhambra in Spain on his later work is portrayed. This video puts more emphasis on his personal life and biography as compared with the other Video: The Fantastic World of M.C. Escher.

Metamorphosis Poster

As a long series of changing shapes of red, green, and black, this is one of the most interesting of all the works of Escher. It comes in four poster sections measuring, in total, about 13 feet.
